How to start
Cooking skill is built primarily by cooking with the fridge, cooker & counter. Increasing this skill will unlock new cooking tricks, moodlets & recipes. This skill is different from Baking skill and Gourmet Cooking skill, they are all separate from each other.
Levels / Rewards
Level 1 the cooking skill start by cooking. anything! as you progress in this skill you will unlock new dishes.
Level 2 ~ Unlocks BLT, Fish Tacos, Eggs on toast, Chips and salsa & high energy protein plate.
Level 3 ~ Unlocks Pan fried tilapia, chocolate chip cookies & pancakes
Level 4 ~ Unlocks Spaghetti & Strawberry cake
Level 5 ~ Unlocks French toast & Fish & Chips. Also unlocked the Gourmet cooking skill & will receive the Competent cook moodlet when cooking.
Level 6 ~ Unlocks Chili, Blue confetti cake & Camper’s stew.
Level 7 ~ Unlocks Blackened Bass & Omelette.
Level 8 ~ Unlocks Apple pie. sim can now Flavorize a meal to make it higher quality.
Level 9 ~ Unlock Chicken stir fry & Cioppino. Sim can now give cooking tips to others.
Level 10 ~ Unlock Roast chicken & tuna casserole.

Mood ~ Inspired
Trait ~ Foodie, Lactose Intolerant, Glutton and Vegetarian are all food related traits they all have effects that will make the game harder and easier. , for instance as a foodie you can gain ideas while watching tv shows but will get negative moodlets for eating poorly cooked food.
Aspiration ~ The master chef aspiration goes well and can be complete along side this skill.
Tip ~ Some foods come with calories so you might want to be carful how many grilled cheese sandwiches you eat, however just exercise a bit to slim down your sim.
Tip~ Each recipe for the cooking skill costs a certain amount of money, however if you use the Gardening skill and place produce in the fridge then the price for recipes will be reduced.
Tip ~ With Cottage living comes simple living lot challenge. This will mean that your sims must have the ingredients to cook food.
