How to start

Gardening Skill is built by working with plants, seeds & planters. Increasing this skill will allow sims to be more efficient when gardening as well as unlock new gardening interactions & socials. Buy or harvest the seeds and then place them on the ground. click on them for the plant option.

Levels / Rewards

Level 1 ~ Sim’s new skill in gardening will allow them to plant, water, weed & harvest. New interactions & advanced techniques are unlocked at higher levels.

Level 2 ~ Sim can research gardening at aa computer, research individual plants to unlock information in the notebook & water plants in nearby areas. Any gardening activities will increase skill.

Level 3 ~ Sim finds fun while gardening & can now fertilize plants.

Level 4 ~ Sim can now talk to plants to fulfil their social needs & harvest plants in a nearby area.

Level 5 ~ Sim can now take cuttings & graft to create hybrid plants.

Level 6 ~ Sim is becoming a true agriculturalist & is now able to week plants in a larger area.

Level 7 ~ Sim can purchase Uncommon & farmer seed packets. Sim can now also spray for bugs in a larger area.

Level 8 ~ Sim can now over prunes bonsai trees to re-shape them. Sim is also able to super sell plants in a large area.

Level 9 ~ Sim continues to improve their gardening mastery & can now tend garden, efficiently doing all their watering, weeding & bug spray all at once. (unless plants are too spaced out.

Level 10 ~ Sim is now the ultimate gardener. Sim is able to purchase rare seed packets, each containing one of the most exclusive, most expensive plants found anywhere.

Mood ~ Focused

Traits ~ Loves the outdoors is a good trait to have as gardening BIG gardens/farms will mean your sim out outside a lot.

Aspirations~ Freeland Botanist, outdoor enthusiast and Purveyor of the potions as well as others will all require some form of gardening

Tip ~ Buy the seeds from buy mood under gardening. Collect plants from around the world to plant at your home lot. Use a computer to buy produce. Sims can buy plants from the planters as well.

Tip ~ Open seed packs from the ground or sims inventory. place plants, fruit, vegetable & herbs on the ground. Click on the produce then ‘plant’. now it’s all about the upkeep.

Tip ~ You can make A LOT of money with this skill.

Tip ~ One of the secret locations that is hidden is Sylvan Glade you can find this by watering and talking to a tree, check the tutorial out for more information.
