How to Start
To start this career use the phone or the computer. This career is a single track which means there are no branches of the career. At the start of the work day you will get the choice to join or send alone, If you send alone the sim will disappear into a rabbit hole, If you chose Join, then you will go to the hospital and give them commands though the work day to complete the day. You cannot control other family members or switch between them during an active work day.

This Career will allow you to access the Alien world Sixam, where you will find more aliens and a couple of rocks to collect.

The Running of the day
Each work day is run as an event at the Science facility , there will be a goal meter in the top left of the screen, which will give you 3 goals to complete, as you complete a goal it will refresh with a new goal. As you complete more goals you will go from bronze, silver and gold, the more goals you completed the better work day you will have.
It is best to follow these and not to do what ever you want if you want to progress through the career, It is also easier to get a diagnosis by following the goals set out.
At the end of the work day you sim will receive their pay and promotions based on how well they have done.
If you click on the timer for the work day that is attached to the event bar, you can chose to finish work earlier or work late.
Break throughs
Sims can have break throughs at work or at home, it’s all about the actions you do. Here is what you need to do to get break throughs-
Gardening, reading, preforming experiments (this is anything on Logic skill gaining items)
Invention Constructor
Brain storming
In the building there is an Invention Constructor, there are a few options on here and ‘Brainstorm on invention constructor’. You will unlock new devices to invent on it as you progress up the career ladder. You can brainstorm (which helps you get breakthrough), chat with bot, and invent device.
There are several inventions that can be invented on the Invention Constructor-
- SimRay
- cloning machine
- Hover lamp
- electroflux wormhole generator
- satellite dish

Co-worker
you will get daily tasks to do with co-works, this maybe asking for crystals, elements or plants as well as many others. You will also be able to order co-workers around when you are higher career level.
Chemistry Lab
There is a Chemistry lab, In the lab that your sim can use during work hours, however you will unlock on to use at home as a reward for a promotion. There are various serums that will have positive and negative effects. These recipes use mostly plants.
Collectables
There are several items that can be found on the lot, In the left of the building there is a fishing area that you can catch fish ( there is one goal to go fishing for 20 minutes).
There are several clusters of rocks that sims can dig, which will give your sim all the necessary elements you will need for experiments. Your sim can also ask co-works for crystals and elements as well.
there are plants inside the build to harvest for recipes.
